The 4th of July is right around the corner and you may be wondering how you'll ever be able to celebrate the 4th of July on a budget. Along with the expense of a cookout comes the expense of fireworks. None of these items are cheap. If you plan on taking a vacation during the 4th of July, you will also have the expense of a hotel room, gas, and the cost of eating out or fixing meals in your room. It's enough to make people dread the holiday. Luckily, there are ways to celebrate the 4th of July on a budget. In this article you will find ways to enjoy a fireworks display for free, tips for an affordable barbeque, and even vacation tips.

Celebrate the 4th of July on a Budget: Enjoy a Fireworks Display for Free

If you plan on staying home to celebrate the 4th of July, you really should consider doing an online search for fireworks displays in your surrounding area. Many of these displays are free. Here in Western North Carolina there are fireworks displays in every city and they are all free to enjoy. This is a wonderful way to celebrate the 4th of July. I do recommend that you arrive to the event early, because prime locations will fill up quickly. Also don't forget to bring a blanket, some drinks, and a few light snacks. There will, more than likely, be vendors selling drinks and snacks, but these will be expensive. If you want to celebrate the 4th of July on a budget, you need to bring your own snacks and drinks.

I never go out on July 4th because I've no tolerance for heat. But I miss the fireworks a lot.
