Working as a writer is not an easy job. There is always the constant fear that you'll run out of ideas and then it happens. You suddenly do run out of ideas but you haven't met your daily article quota. What are you going to do?

So you want to write more articles for Associated Content or for your blog but you run into the good old writers block. You don't know what to write about but you need a ton of content to satisfy your writing needs. There are many websites out there to help you find sources while your imagination juices are taking a break.

Most articles in Associated Content just help in the process of generating your own ideas but if you have a blank slate then it's almost impossible to fill it up unless you see what your going to be writing about. Meaning finding recent news that you didn't know about.

This shouldn't be a surprise for anyone but Digg is a good place to find article sources. Digg is one of the most popular social news sharing sites out there. It generates new stuff every 5 seconds or so. Users choose which is the best story shared and they "dig it" the more digs, the more likely they are exposed at the front page. You can look at categories that interest you. For me it's "Offbeat News" when you click on it you will see the most recent popular stories and news in that category.

Another site to find recent news is Buzzfeed. When somebody makes a buzz on their blog and Buzzfeed finds it interesting then they will post it on their site. Each weekday, they publish ten stories that highlighting the best stuff emerging from the Internet popularity contest. Digg has more content but Buzzfeed has more highlighted content in recent web news.

Now the best place where you can find sources for articles isPopurls. It is heaven for those who are out of ideas to write about. They have all the top news sites and have links to each one that is generating the most popularity. I'm telling you it's heaven because it's the most convenient site that I've ever been to. They have digg, del.icio.us, reddit with 18 other sites including Google News with the top rank pages under them. You'll always find something you could use in there.
