Review of Joya De Nicaragua Antano Cigars
A Full Bodied Cigar
Ever have a delicious cup of coffee, but wish that it was a little bit stronger? Perhaps you've enjoyed the power of a sports car, but dreamed that you could squeeze in an extra fifty horses under the hood. There are plenty ofI truly love the Celebracion Line, so as I lit up this cigar, I had expectations that it was going to be a pleasurable experience. The 6x50 Toro lit up nicely with a match, and with a limited amount of turning. I had a applied a guillotine cut without any problems, and I was astounded to see how much smoke volume this cigar delivered from the beginning. It was almost overwhelming, and I had to adjust by "sipping" the cigar conservatively. There was an immediate peppery flavor, that certainly gave it strength and a flavor similar to many cigars that are produced in Honduras. I knew immediately that it was nothing short of robust, and while smoother than a lot of cigars from that other Central American country, it was a bit harsh for my personal taste. While I enjoyed the flavors of strong coffee and spices, it did not mellow out, even while smoking it slowly to enable it to stay cool. In fact, it became stronger at the end.
The tobaccos are aged nicely, and packed in a manner that delivers a productive experience. This is the definition of "rough and ready," and it can take a beating from chewing. If you have to transport this in a pocket for awhile, it should be fine when it is fired up. You can cut this with a guillotine or bullet style with confidence, as the tobacco will not come out in small pieces. It burns evenly, and the beautiful band can be removed at any time. This is a very attractive cigar, much in similar regards to the other smokes in the Joya De Nicaragua line.
