When Did God Leave Hollywood?

I must write this, I don't know if anyone will read it...but I need to put this out there.
The headlines from Hollywood make me sick of what is accepted as "news." Today it is Lindsay Lohan's DUI...yesterday it was Paris's joke of a jail sentence and the day before, it was Britney barely dressed...give me a break! I have written a similar article to this, in the past and my feelings are only stronger now. Rehab is a way out of prison and even a jail sentence can be customized, if you are a celebrity. There has never been justice in Hollywood. The part that I DO NOT understand is why the average American allows it! The last I checked, we were still a democracy and Hollywood was still part of the same judicial system as everyone else. The American voice has been able to over come tyranny from England, yet we are somehow unable to overcome an extremely slanted legal system...will someone please explain this to me?
I don't want to hear about money and power equally corrupt behavior. I have never read about Bill Gates being arrested for DUI or getting caught without his underwear! It is the morality of the person, not the wealth. Hollywood reports what the American public wants to here...is it fair to say that we are all to blame for this breakdown in character? Mothers across the nation, complain about Britney Spears as a role model for their daughters, yet they buy the tabloids that have her picture everywhere. What does this action tell their young girls? Seriously, it is the same "moms" that are keeping Miss Spears in the headlines for their daughters to be over exposed to her. There is a simple rule in life: If you truly don't want that kind of behavior in your home...don't bring it in!
I work in LA and I live in Dallas. I fly in, deal with Hollywood and fly home. The funny thing is, when someone finds out what I do for a living, the first thing they do is start asking questions like," So, what's the deal with Brad and Angelina? or Do you know Nicole Richie...does she really have anorexia?" Let's face it, the American public IS THE REASON that God had to leave Hollywood! People, by nature are more interested in sin. The same Middle American folks, that brag about their "sin free" towns, are actually the ones that keep the morality fuel tank of this nation on empty! We think that if all of the sin is in Hollywood, it can't spread to our city. Here is a NEWSFLASH...we are the ones that are exporting it directly from Hollywood to our living room! Our print and media choices make Paris, Lindsay and Britney household names. Our children will look up to these people because of us Marilyn Manson once said, in a thank you speech, "I want to thank every parent that was more interested in bashing me at Sunday School, then paying attention to what their kid was buying at Wal-Mart, after church!"
The upside is this....The public has a voice, we may have forgotten how to use it, but we do have a voice! We can make changes in what the media considers to be news. We can demand positive stories and uplifting articles. We can invite God to come back and make his presence known in Hollywood and the world...again. The choice is ours to make, but will we make it?
