CD Review: Rodney Carrington - King of the Mountains

On April 3, 2007 Rodney Carrington released his latest CD titled King of the Mountains. This was his first CD release since Greatest Hits was released in 2004. He earned a Gold Record with the Greatest Hits album.

Rodney Carrington does stand-up comedy and he also performs comedic songs. Also, he falls into the country category. Carrington wrote most of the tracks for King of the Mountains. The song "Put Your Clothes Back On" was written by Carrington and Barry Martin.
 "Rap Star" and "Rhymes with Truck" were written by Carrington and Mark Gross. Gross wrote "Show Them to Me."

"Give It a Try" is a joke about Carrington's friend telling him that he should give being gay a try. In "Tribute to Barry Martin," Rodney discusses his friend Barry and the things that they while they were on the road. They would make bets and the loser had to eat things that people should be eating. Barry Martin passed away a few years ago. "Angel Friend" is a song that Rodney Carrington wrote in memory of Barry.
