Lucasarts has just announced a new Lego Star Wars game is headed to video game consoles this Fall. According to the Lucasarts.com announcement, players will be able to go through events that happened during all six of the big screen Star Wars movies. The developer of the game, Traveller's Tales, will take unique controls of each video game system, and use these advantages for the new Lego Star Wars game. This includes taking advantage of the unique Nintendo Wii Controller for the Wii version of Lego Star Wars The Complete Saga.

The new title will boast tons of brand new characters, new levels and lots of new features. Lego Star Wars The Complete Saga will be released on the Nintendo Wii, Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 sometime during the Fall of 2007. There will also be a brand new version created specifically for the Nintendo DS system. This version will be completely different than the console releases.

A Wikipedia report says the first Lego Star Wars game was released in 2005. This title saw life on the Xbox, Playstation 2, Gamecube and the PC. This game was a hit and a sequel was then developed and released in 2006 as "Lego Star Wars II The Original Trilogy. With the successes of these two games, the third title in the series will come out this Fall.

According to Wikipedia, the Lego Star Wars toy started in 1999 and then a game release came that was unique, in that it was created using video game model "Legos". The first Lego sets released were entirely modeled from the ships seen in the original Star Wars trilogy. This was to help with the release of Star Wars The Phantom Menace on the big screen. Lego sets based on the prequel movies of Episode I, Episode II and Episode III were also released. The Lego company came out with more model ships and scenes from the movies.

The Lego toy series eventually expanded to the video game realm with the releases of "Lego Star Wars The Video Game" and "Lego Star Wars II The Original Trilogy". The license given to Lucasarts for creating these games was set to expire in 2007 but has now been renewed all the way through the year 2011.
