Even an internet marketer, writer, and part-time blogger needs a break from reality once in awhile. I am a big fan of comic books so seeing Spider-man on the big screen is a natural treat for me. On May 19th, two companions and myself went to view the latest installment in the Spider-man movie franchise. I was pleasantly surprised as were my companions, and we all agreed this was the best Spider-man movie thus far. Reprising his previous roles as both Peter Parker and Spider-man is Tobey Maguire. Maguire as with all of his previous movies that I have seen still looks younger than he is. In my opinion the movie rocked with impressive performances and magnificent special effects. Maguire 's impressive ability to play both the stereotypical nerd Peter Parker and Spider-man, and the bad boy Peter Parker and Spiderman - Black, merits an award in my opinion as it speaks to Maguire's versatility as an actor. The range of emotions Maguire had to exhibit for this film masterpiece would have put many other actors to the test, but Maguire seemed to do it effortlessly. After being attacked by his best friend Harry Osborn and later discovering that the killer of his Uncle Ben is still alive, Peter's world comes crashing down around him. Peter is even more devastated after his plans for a marriage proposal to his girlfriend Mary Jane Watson are ruined. These events have him open to an anger enhancing and mood altering substance from space, later determined to be a parasite that feeds off anger.
Kirsten Dunst once again does a great job as Peter's girlfriend Mary Jane Watson. As M.J. as she is affectionately referred to by Peter, she continues to pursue her career as a singer and actress while dating Peter. Unfortunately, this career seems to come to an untimely end due to negative critic reviews of her Broadway debut.
