Hillary Clinton cares about the middle-class of America because she was born in middle-class America. She has always been aware of and spoke about the issues that concern the middle-class because they were issues that affected her and her family. Hillary is very aware that there are many people, especially women in our society, whose needs are simply overlooked and INVISIBLE. She points out on her MYSPACE-IMPACT page that many Americans are working as hard as they can but simply cannot make it on the minimum wage that they draw.

Hillary declares this on her myspace page: "Americans have the right to expect fiscal responsibility, discipline, and honesty from their leaders."

The paragraph that follows offer these points as to what she intends to accomplish when she becomes president:

• Make health care affordable and accessible to every American.
• Reduce the cost of energy and make us energy independent.
• Expand access to affordable, high-quality child care.
• Make college more affordable.
• Protect families from predatory lenders and help them avoid foreclosures.
• Increase the minimum wage.
• Create good jobs with good wages to expand the middle class.
• Balance the federal budget so we don't pass today's massive debts to the next generation.
• Reward savings, protect pensions, and provide greater retirement security.

Hillary has, as senator, already worked to increase the minimum wage so that every time congress votes to give themselves a raise, the average American would get a raise too, she has fought to end the marriage penalty, supported lowering the tax rate for middle-class Americans and providing a refundable child tax credit. She has never failed to do what will help middle-class America and she never will.

Hillary Clinton is not the first wealthy and powerful person to take up the cause of the less priveleged in society. These people don't have that great a track record. I'd wait to see how much of her platform she is able to implement -if she can get elected- before passing judgement on her one way or the other.
