Many people are discovering that the motion-sensing gameplay of Nintendo's Wii is more than just a fad. The Wii is destroying Sony's Playstation 3 in sales and is fast approaching Microsoft's Xbox 360 as we speak. From my personal experience with the Wii I can tell you that Nintendo has knocked it out the park. This little white machine has me so addicted that my other systems are literally collecting dust. Not only do they have some great Next-Gen games out like Legend of Zelda:Twilight Princess, Super Paper Mario and Wario Ware:Smooth Moves that will all take over your life for a good amount of time, but they something called the Virtual Console.

VC as it is referred to, gives you the ability to download classic NES, Super NES, Turbo Graphics 16, Sega Genesis and N64 games. Every Week they come out with new classics, these games are far superior to Xbox Live arcade games although there are some hidden gems in that service not nearly as much quality games as the VC has to offer. Here are my top 5 VC games that are as challenging and addicting as any modern next-gen game. Warning: if you work early in the morning discard the rest of this article!

5. Super Mario 64- This game virtually created the 3D platforming formula that is still used today. This is still as fun as it ever was and if you haven't played it you MUST download NOW!

4. Super Star Soldier- This game for the Turbo Graphics is truly a classic of the old-school shooting genre. Extreme difficulty, powerful weapons and unique bosses make this game one of the best shooters I've played. Also check out its sequels on VC- Soldier Blade and Blazing Lasers.

3. Donkey Kong Country 1&2- Both games are must haves and will have you screaming at the TV, but when you do beat it the sense of satisfaction is that much sweeter. One of the most popular series on the Super NES.

2. Super Ghouls and Ghosts- Here's another SNES game that will have you throwing pillows across the room. This is one of the hardest games ever on any system, but it is also one of the best. Creative weapons, great music and quality gameplay will make you wish sleep was just another word.
