E.R. Season Thirteen Surprises and Shocking Events

Season thirteen of the hit medical drama E.R. , has left fans with far more questions than answers. I have been a fan for many years although admittedly not from the beginning. My love for the show came during a E.R. Memorial Day marathon. After watching like 10 hours of this wonderful show I was immediately hooked. And when I found out that TNT played reruns in the mornings, I started tuning in. I finally caught up on all the previous episodes which at about that time was the fifth season. I fell in love with the characters and the story lines, and have kept up with it faithfully. This season has given me feelings of dread, fearing that the season is coming to an end way before I am ready for it to and concern for the characters that are currently on the show. My current peak of interest on the show (although I love them all ) is the love triangle between Neela Rasgotra, Ray Barnett, and Tony Gates. I'll catch you up on what exactly has happened so far that makes me have so many questions and what will make me tune in on the opening episode of season fourteen.

This is the second season in which we have seen Ray show his feelings for Neela, and Neela giving Ray the hope of getting together only to keep breaking his heart. He has sat by waiting for her to be able to move on since the loss of her husband Michael Gallant whom was killed in the finale of season 12, in a roadside attack in Iraq. He tried to support her and be there to comfort her but she kept pushing him away. She met Tony through the E.R. as he was a paramedic whom brought patients there frequently, then eventually came to do his residency at County General. Tony and Neela get together for a few drinks, and after a few they kissed. She felt guilty because she was still mourning Michael and thought it was too soon. Ultimately they got together and consummated their relationship. While Tony's roommate was away with her daughter Sarah, he had Neela up for Thanksgiving dinner.
