The summer season at Allegany State Park is one of the best times of year to visit. Allegany State Park has 65,000 acres to enjoy, with abundant hiking trails and streams throughout the park. Summertime in Allegany State Park is filled with daily activities and weekly special events. Neighboring towns offer additional summer events to enjoy, just a short drive from Allegany State Park.

Campsites and cabins are available for overnighters at Allegany State Park, but day trippers can enjoy the many daily activities and weekly events for just the entrance fee to the park ($7). The summer season at Allegany State Park begins on the last weekend of June and runs through Labor Day.

Allegany State Park events and activities are held as early as 8:30 am, and as late as midnight, in the summer. A detailed listing of each week's even can be picked up at both the Quaker and Red House Administration Buildings inside Allegany State Park.
