Interview with the Richest Man in Fremont, Ohio

This is an interview with the notorious free lance writer Alban Mehling aka Bubba. He truly is a legend in his own mind. Enjoy this conversation with a gentleman that giggles a lot and has a mischievous mind. He does claim to be the richest man in Fremont, Ohio.

Question: What's up with the Bubba handle?

Answer: My parents named me fer my two grandfathers Alban fer my paternal grandfather and Phillip fer my maternal grandfather. I was called by "Al" fer many years. In fact many of my family and old friends have a problem with Bubba so continue callin' me Al. Bubba began about ten years ago when I was datin' my Queen Goddess bride. We had experience a wonderful romantic evenin' in Fremont, Ohio and upon returnin' her home I said "Thank You my Queen Goddess fer a lovely evenin'." I'm not sure if it was the passion of the evenin' or just a blond moment but she replied "Thank You Mr... uh uh (She couldn't remember my name) Bubba." She quickly explained I reminded her of the Bubba in "The Heat of the Night" TV series.

Question: Much of your writtin' seems to have a food theme, why is that?

Answer: I've spent twenty six years of my adult life in the food and beverage industry in Fremont, Ohio. I have a passion fer good food and the memories of good times that it evokes. To me there is no greater compliment than someone askin' me to share a recipe or technique to improve their upcomin' event. I've seen and shared some fabulous ideas to make a simple meal seem elegant with just a small enhancement such as candlelight and music. I've also been part of a few disasters that bring giggles to all involved at a later date. It's all in the attitude.
