Take a good look at the length of your finger, and than look at your scores on the SATs - Did you ever think that they had anything in common, apparently they correlate! Your finger length may predict your SAT scores.

It is all in your index and ring finger. Children with longer index finger than ring finger may be more intellectual in math, than children that do not.

Children with longer ring than index fingers may correlate with children being more assertive in English and verbal skills while children with a longer ring finger may be more astute in math and numbers.

Finger length is determined in the womb by hormone levels of estrogen and testosterone. Interestingly enough, this finger length is correlated with different parts of the brain becoming more developed than others.

"Exposure to testosterone in the womb is said to promote development of areas of the brain often associated with spatial and mathematical skills, he said. That hormone makes the ring finger longer."

The opposite would occur with an increase in the hormone estrogen.

"Finger ratio provides us with an interesting insight into our innate abilities in key cognitive areas"

In the future, studies are to be conducted linking finger length to cognitive and behavioral issues like dyslexia, or appropriate career paths.

Finger length has also been linked to the future athletic potential within young girls. This could be attributed to the testosterone levels with athletic ability.

As well as all of the other attributes, finger length may also be attributed to bad driving. The low testosterone has been thought to lead to a shorter ring finger - leads to bad driving. It appears that spatial skills as well as the ability to assess objects are decreased with the shorter length of the ring finger. The higher levels of testosterone claim to give way to the better drivers, and higher levels of this hormone are generally detected in men.

"It seems to push it to work in a more masculine way, with a stronger right hemisphere; the spatial hemisphere."

BETTER CHECK YOUR RING FINGER AND INDEX FINGER LANGUAGE IN THIS ARTICLE, IT SEEMS TO GET THEM CONFUSED.

Maybe all that prebirth genetics stuff does indeed 'incline' some people to think mathematically while others think communicativly (or whatever the actual word is), but what MATTERS is early DEVELOPMENT of those inclinations. Heck, if there hadn't been tables, chairs, high counters and high doorknobs around the house, we all would prob`ly still be crawlin` `round like insects!
