Is This Jeopardy's Next Trivia Question?

More: Pba Alex Trebek Question

Who is Kelly Kulick Anyway?

Kelly Kulick, from Union Township, New Jersey, became the first woman to win the PBA Tour Title. Her response, "Maybe Alex Trebek will let me be a Jeopardy question."

Winning a Professional Bowlers Association title on Sunday at the Tournament of Champions in Las Vegas is one thing. Becoming a Jeopardy trivia question is
 another.

Just how does Jeopardy decide who is worthy of that title? It made me wonder, how do they choose the questions?

Kelly may very well be the first woman to win the PBA title but becoming a Jeopardy question is another story. There is no mention on the official Jeopardy website as to how the questions are chosen. I have played the game through the years (never as a contestant, just a couch potato!) and on more than one occasion; I have wondered where the questions come from.

Ms. Kulick seems worthy of the Jeopardy Question Title having just become the first woman to win the PBA title. In fact, according to ESPN, "Kelly Kulick left all the guys in the gutter." She outscored her opponent, Chris Barnes, 265-195. The grand prize winnings were $40,000. Not too shabby for a 32-year-old who began her bowling at the age of six.

After all of my years watching the Jeopardy show I can't recall one single bowling question. In fact, bowling is hardly the sport of choice when you consider the millions of dollars that other athletes receive for their performances. Although Nielsen ratings admit that over 1.7 million viewers watched Kulick become the champ.

Maybe that will garner the attention of the Jeopardy folks. Maybe Kelly's dream will come true and the next Jeopardy question you'll hear will be,

"What woman won the 45th PBA Tournament of Champions in 2010?"

Answer: "Who is Kelly Kulick."

That is so true! I don't remember any bowling questions either. Hmm.. A question on her would be really nice. How do they come up with the questions. Michele, u are on to something.. hmmm
Always such good writing!
Cute piece as usual
To me there's always some sports that more fun to play than watch. I've always felt some college teams feel that way because where football and basketball get more publicity, sometimes their smaller teams may be higher rated but just not as well known.
grr sorry for my double post
Cool! I hope she does get to be a question because I'll be able to answer one lol
