For the last three years the New York Yankees organization and Continental arenas have teamed up together to host "Pinstripes in the Park" which has been a very successful event each year. This past year the event was held at Bryant Park which is the customary location on May 30. The event 3was a huge success as a record crowd of 12,000 people came to the event. New York City is unlike any other place because where else would you have 12,000 devoted sports fans coming together just to watch a baseball game?

The Yankees have the most devoted fans in baseball and the Pinstripes in the Park event proved my belief true. Despite the Yankees struggling as they are currently 13.5 games back of the division leading Red Sox, the Yankees crowd did not give up hope that the New York Yankees could still make the playoffs this year.

The event pumped up the energetic crowd as a huge screen was set up which played the game on the YES network The Yankees game took place in Toronto which allowed for the huge turnout. Two years ago this event was held right before the Yankees played the Angels in the playoffs and it got everyone pumped up and excited for the playoffs and to watch the Yankees.

The event at Bryant Park featured giveaway raffles during the commercial breaks as great prizes were handed out to fans. The raffle tickets were free and the prizes included Yankees-Red Sox tickets, plane tickets from Continental Airlines, and an autographed baseball jersey signed by Roger Clemens.

Speaking of Clemens, he came to the event as well as he gave a little pep talk about the Yankees and how he was going to bring energy to the club. He also confirmed that his first pitching start would be against the Chicago White Sox, the series following the crucial Red Sox series. When asked if he wanted to pitch against the Red Sox, Clemens announced that he will be ready to face them in the next series.
