The Greatest Shooting Guards in NBA History
Sorry for the delay, but I decided to take a little break over the Memorial Day period. Greetings all, I am back with another article regarding the NBA. This time I have been writing about the Greatest Shooting Guards in NBA History.
I don't think anyone is going to be surprised at my number 1 shooting guard ever in NBA history, but maybe someone might not agree with the other four. So here I go with my ranking of the top 5-point guards in NBA history starting in reverse order down to number 1.
Number 5 - Reggie Miller - 18-year career
Reggie is one of the greatest clutch shooters in the NBA history and according to the record book he is the greatest 3-point shooters both making a record 2,560 of them. He finished his career as the 12th leading scorer amassing a total of 25-279 point. He ranks only behind John Stockton in number of games played for the same team, playing in 1,389 game for the Indiana Pacers. Reggie also finished 9th in NBA History in free throw percentage making .888 for his career, which included 5 straight years of shooting more than 90% from the line. He was, of course, the greatest Knick killer, making game ending shot after shot against the Knicks, all the while tormenting Giant Knick fan Spike Lee. Although he never won an NBA title, he was a member of the 1996 Gold Winning team in Atlanta Georgia.
Number 4 - George "the Iceman" Gervin - 14-year career
