Affordable Destination Beach Wedding Attire
Affordable Destination Beach Wedding Attire
While destination weddings are becoming more and more popular there is still not enough information out there on them to completely guide the destination bride. I am in the process of planning my wedding which includes many important decisions such and the destination,
invitations, cost and of course apparel!!
We got engaged in April which is prime season for spring time apparel which made it very easy to fine the outfits we knew we wanted. Here is what we did for our destination wedding attire and a few ideas for you!!
Groom and Groomsman
We knew being in a hot climate such as the Caribbean that full suits or Tuxedo's was not what we wanted, however we did still want them to be dressed semiformal so we decided on linen suits. Linen suits usually come in white or beige and we choose the beige color. The groom is going to be wearing a white shirt while the groomsmen and our fathers are going to be wearing teal linen button down shirts which will match the bridesmaid dresses. We purchased both the suits and shirts at JC Penny's. The pants were $25 the jackets were $50 and the shirts were $25 which comes to a total of $100. I thought this was a very good price considering they get to keep these outfits and normally a tuxedo rental would run around $100 and you only get to use those for one night!!
Bride and Bridesmaids
I purchased my bridal dress from David's Bridal for $250 which I though was an excellent price. I wanted something lightweight and simple to wear for a beach wedding so there is no train and nothing fancy but it is simple and elegant perfect for a beach wedding. We also purchased the bridesmaid dresses from David's Bridal for about $90 each which is not bad for a price as well. They are short and teal to match the groomsmen's shirts.
