The Truth About Bottled Water

An Industry in Disguise

You see, the thing is, that regardless how much we want to believe in something, you still have to take the time to realize the truth. You cannot assume. It is imperative that you do your due diligence and research just exactly how healthy something is for you, regardless of your
intuition. I had a hunch. Just a thought that drifted in and left me as quickly as it came that the reality of bottled water is much more simple than what they wanted me to believe. You see, they like to create an image using words and pictures that create a sense of purity. And if you notice, they tend to use that word a lot. They also enjoy fashioning pictures that resound some sort of magical spring in some land far away that again replicates that crispness, fresh kind of feeling that makes you feel good about using there product. However, when you do finally snap out of that reverie, that stupor that they put you under, and actually get to the bottom of that spring, you find it is less crisp and pure than you may have originally thought. I could almost accept this article as credible if the writer could only use the proper spelling of the word their and too. The writer constantly used there and to instead. Learn how to spell!

Drinking Fiji water makes me happy!

Brilliant! We shouldn't drink bottled water because it contains bacteria. So does milk so it's out. Soft drinks are 90%+ water and contain sugar, which is bad, or other chemicals which are bad, too. Scratch those, too. Tea is made with water so it's already out. Ditto coffee What's left? Dehydration. Now the bombshell revelation from this hack: bottled water companies "market" their products just like every other company does. Or does this guy thinks he looks like a Calvin Klein model just because he wears the boxers? The last time I checked I cannot get municipal water in my car or at my gym or at the mall....unless I put it in a (gasp!) bottle and take it with me. Oh wait, those are bad. There is nothing useful or informative in this editorial; it's all half truths and spin designed to get someone published versus providing real information.

I noticed that bottled water *does* have an expiration date. But good article. Thanks. :)

Nothing is safe to eat or drink anymore. They put so many chemicals in the air, in our food and in our water supply. Heck, I'm almost afraid to breathe.

Hmmm. I'm left with some questions. How can it be from a municipal supply if it is labeled "spring?" And if they do get spring water from the municipal supply, how do they distinguish between purified and spring?
