It is almost time for summer barbeques, picnics and don't forget the summer fairs. I love all those summertime activities. But with the warm weather fun can come some very unhealthy eating. There are healthy eating choices you can make that will still allow you to enjoy the traditional summer outings while keeping you from spilling out of your short shorts.Healthy Eating Choices for Fairs and Festivals: My husband, son and I always go to all the summer county fairs. We love the corn dogs and deep fried mushrooms. Did you know there is even a deep friend Twinkie? That's right; they take a cupcake filled with cream and deep fry it. I don't know how it tastes, but it can't be good for the waistline. Instead of all the fried food why not try a piece of corn on the cob, or a big turkey leg. There will be less fat and more nutritional valve in those choices. Other options are a slice of pizza or a frozen yogurt. Also if you eat a little something healthy before you go to a fair you may be less likely to want to eat everything you see. If you have to have a treat pick what you really love and have a little of it.
