Kids can be a real handful to deal with, especially if you are in a party. It will be difficult to try and manage your child to behave properly with other children around doing the same thing. In order for you to be able to enjoy the party without constantly having to worry if your child is okay, or whether he or she is doing something that he or she is not supposed to, you should have already taught your child how to behave in mannerly ways towards other people, especially in a party that you are not hosting. Here are a few tips on how you can teach your child how to behave during parties.

1) Set some ground rules

Before you and your child go to the actual party, make sure that you let your child know what you expect him or her to do. Set some ground rules on which behaviors are acceptable, and which ones are not. Make sure that your child knows and understand that if he or she behaves in a way that is not acceptable, he or she will be punished for it. In this way, your child will already have an idea on what behavior he or she is allowed to do, so he or she will not be surprised if ever you punish him or her for doing something.

2) Planning

Planning for the party is a very good idea, since it allows you to monitor your child's activities during the party without you having to constantly watch over him or her. You can enjoy the party since you already know where your child is and what your child is doing. You should breakdown the time that you will be in the party, and make a list of activities that your child can enjoy during those times.

3) Create a reward system

Instead of punishing your child for doing something bad, why not try rewarding your child for doing something good? Whenever your child would display some positive behavior during the party, immediately praise or reward him or her for the good behavior. Make sure you let your child understand that the reward is for his or her obedience.

4) Be patient
