Having depression is often times a very confusing time on a person's life. There are many people that do not even know that they have a problem. They may not realize that there is something wrong with the way they think and see things around them. Having depression can also be a very dangerous thing, if it is not taken seriously. Ignoring a possible Manic Depression Symptom could lead to more problems further down the road. If in doubt, take it seriously.
Manic Depression Symptom - The Warning Signs
There are a several things that you should be aware of when you suspect that there may be a problem with depression. You will want to be aware of all things that are not normal in yourself and in those around you. The signs of depression are different for almost everyone. Think about how you usually act or if someone around you may be depressed, think about the things that they usually do. If something is not adding up, you should ask questions and then think about what may be going on.
Manic Depression Symptom - Eating and Sleeping
One sign of depression are the changes in the way a person eats. If a person is not eating like they usually do, this may be a sign of depression. This change could be a person eating more or less than they usually do. Though short term changes in eating habits are perfectly normal, when the changes occur over a longer period of time, say two or more weeks, then this could be a Manic Depression Symptom.
Another Manic Depression Symptom is a drastic change in sleep patterns. If there is someone that you know or yourself that cannot get enough sleep or is sleeping too much, this can be one sign of depression. We need to think about the normal patterns that are in a person's life and what is different in their life.
