If you look at the current state of affairs in the United States, immigration has been a huge problems as well as social security. Almost all of the discussion in the United States has turned to foreign policy and while foreign policy is indeed at a crucial juncture in the United States, so is domestic agenda as well.
Foreign policy in the United States faces a major crisis with the war in Iraq, the nuclear conflict with Iran, the soldiers still in Afghanistan and threats from Russia and their leader, Putin. However, domestic policy in the United States seems to have been forgotten as the gulf between rich and poor is as wide as it has ever been and it is only increasing every day. CEOs of companies are making more money in one day than the majority of their employees make in a year. The American middle class is disappearing at an alarming rate and this issue is not being discussed at all in today's society which is a major problem.
