Universal Studios Islands of Adventure is one of the newest additions to the original Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida. As a theme park enthusiast, I can't help but rave about the roller coasters and various attractions featured in the five islands that make up Islands of Adventure. Each action-packed isle includes something for the whole family as you explore the thrills of your favorite superheroes and cartoon favorites. Become a little kid again as you revisit childhood favorites such as Beetle Bailey, Scooby-Doo, Dr. Seuss, and many more. But for those who would rather step things up a bit, there's always The Incredible Hulk, Spiderman, Jurassic Park, and the Dueling Dragons.

The first island you encounter as you step through CityWalk and through the plaza of Islands of Adventure is Marvel Super Hero Island. The Incredible Hulk looms in the foreground as one of the most vicious roller coasters known to man. Ride like a slingshot through the many loops and flips, through the foggy marsh of Bruce Banner's science waste, and jet through the finish line. If you're still up to walking after that, check out the 3D phenomenon of Spiderman, where reality isn't what you see on the 3D screens. It's the flames that burn inches away from your hair as Peter Parker's villains chase you through the dark streets of the city.

Toon Lagoon is up next with cartoons from Sunday's newspaper, complete with a fifties diner. Soak yourself in Popeye and Bluto's Bilge-Rat Barges on this one-of-a-kind water raft ride promising to be wetter than any other. Children can have a blast on Me Ship, The Olive, a life-size boat with three levels of interactivity.

We went to Orlando and totally missed Universal Studios. I've regretted it ever since. I plan on going back soon and this review has made me more determined to visit Universal Studios.
