When you are unemployed and looking for a job, you want to find the quickest route possible to getting a job. When it comes to applying with employment agencies, you really need to do your homework. I have gone through dozens of employment agencies and there are several things that you want to avoid, and several things that you want to look for. First of all before you just go and walk in the office door, you will want to call several different agencies and make appointments. If you are not sure where to begin, just pick up the yellow pages and find the employment agencies, or staffing services. Pick at least five to six that are within a reasonable distance from your home. You do not want to pick one in a location that is too far away, since you may have to return there occasionally to fill out paperwork, or pick up your check.

Once you have compiled your list, you will want to check each company you have chosen with the Better Business Bureau. This will give you some type of idea about the company, and will help you in choosing an agency that will work best for you. Once you have done this and checked them out, then you can begin calling to set up your appointments. Try to only make one appointment a day. This way you can focus all of your attention on one agency at a time, to ensure you choose the best one. When you arrive for your interview and testing, take a look at how the office is set up. Does it look professional? How were you treated upon your arrival? Was there someone at the receptionist desk? You may feel that they are evaluating you, but you really need to be evaluating them. This agency is going to help you find your next employment. Most people who use employment agencies are looking for a permanent job, not one temp job after another. You need to make sure that they company you choose, is capable of doing the job.

Takeaways
  • Each state varies on how the employment agencies are run, and how the recruit.
  • Also do not be afraid to ask them how successful they have been in finding people permanent job oppo
  • This agency is going to help you find your next employment

The information that i just read about researching different temp/perm agencies is on the money. I should have done this before signing up with AppleOne. Word of mouth is also a very good source when seeking to sign up with an agency or agencies that are going to help you find a job and not waste your valuable time. AppleOne has got to be the worst agency as well as the biggest waste of my time that I've ever worked with in my many years of working. They don't work for the applicant more so for the client. I would of hated the idea of paying these people for no service done, I'd want a refund. They are notorious in not following up with their applicant's, but they always try and paint this perfect picture of how quickly finding you a position in your field will be. I don't even think they have that many jobs or they are just facking it. My rep hardly ever called me nor did she keep me up to speed on possible or current jobs available. I constantly called her, until i got to the
