As Cheryl Carpenter says in her article "Choosing Skin Care Lotions or Creams," there are so many different skin care lotions and creams to choose from; it's hard to know what one is best for you or even provides what it promises. The market for skin care lotions and creams could possibly be one of the largest in the nation or even world. There are companies that are known for their skin care lines such as St. Ives and Aveeno. St. Ives has a product line of "Advanced Therapy" which the formulas focus on extra dry skin and healing that irritation. Between skin creams and lotions the summer and winter seasons are best for companies to market their products.

When women have dry skin they will try anything and everything. Rebecca Fairbanks points out in her article "Suave Skin Therapy Advanced Therapy: Goodbye Dry, Chapped Hands," that women spend a ton of money on lotions to relieve dry, chapped skin, not just on their hands. The winter and summer months do a bit of damage on our skins, with all the products on the market we just spend scads of money on anything we think would help. Even though we spend so much money on lotions, we don't know if they will work until we get it home and then we are out that money.

St. Ives Aloe Vera Advanced Therapy Lotion is a wonderful product if you have extremely dry skin. The aloe vera in it helps heal the dryness which works wonders on sunburns. Once you use it you can feel the immediate cooling sensation, your skin doesn't give off the heat it would without the product. The scent of the aloe vera extract gives you a fresh clean scent. Like most of St. Ives products, the aloe vera advanced therapy lotion is dermatologist tested. Since it has aloe vera in the product the kin heals faster which allows for little or no peeling. If you use it daily; after you shower; it can protect your skin from getting damaged.

Takeaways
  • Aloe Vera extract can help relieve burning sensation of sunburns
