Decorating with paint and decals is a great way to add personal style and unique flair to an RC car, and the ways in which you can decorate your RC vehicle are virtually endless. Whether you want a stock look or a completely unique appearance, you can decorate your RC car to make it look professionally designed and very impressive. Don't pay someone else to decorate your RC car. The following tips on painting and adding decals will help you decorate your RC car and transform it into the RC vehicle you've always wanted.

Decorating Ideas

Figuring out the style you want when decorating your RC car isn't always easy, but searching online and looking through RC car catalogs is a great way to get ideas. Search Google images, or visit one of the many RC vehicle websites to get new decorating ideas. Whether you want silver flames, skulls, or a patriotic tribute painted in red, white, and blue, or something completely different, you can decorate your RC car and achieve the exact look you want.

How about painting the top black and adding decals or painted on flames? You might want to consider painting your RC car to look like a miniature version of a full-size vehicle. You could also paint your car and add decals to turn it into something that looks totally radical and unlike anything anyone else owns. Use your creativity and imagination to turn your RC car into something highly unique and totally sweet.

Painting Tips

If you have a clear top for your RC car, begin decorating the car with a new paint job, but don't make the mistake of painting the top of the car. Many people make this mistake, and they usually aren't happy with the results. Even if you use high-gloss paint it will look dull, and the paint job won't last.

Always paint the inside of the clear top, and apply a thick coat so it lasts indefinitely. Also, be sure to let the first coat dry to the touch, and add one more coat to improve the overall appearance and level of durability. This second coat will help prevent cracking, and light won't seep through the paint. Allow the second coat to dry completely before placing the top on your RC vehicle.
