Life is hard as it is with all the demands of today, but my advice to all you younger students, who are trying to pursue a college education, is to stay at home with your parents for as long as you can or until you finish school. When I mention the "real world", I am referring to the demands that an independent person, who does not look for financial support from anyone and has to deal with for example paying rent/mortgage and other necessity bills. The "real world" is hard and if I could turn back the hands of time I would in a heartbeat. As a twenty eight year old college student with a full time job and full time responsibilities such as rent and bills, it is sometimes hard for me to stay motivated and focused, but I know that I can do anything I put my mind to and I know that pursuing my education is something that I want and need for myself and that is what motivates me.

Life is not always smooth sailing and I can confess this from experience, but I can not stress the issue anymore stay home and do whatever it is that your parents are asking you to do at home because in the "real world", there is no mommy and daddy to go running to when you don't have your rent money or when you need to pay your Con Edison bill.

Your education is so important and is worth so much; continue with it because that is the only way to stay on top with today's demands. I know that I may not be that old, but honestly the last six or seven years have been a struggle, but I made it a beneficial struggle. I have had to deal with living on my own, having a full time job and still pursuing my college education. Yes, many people may say well that was her decision, but not everything in life is not your own decision, but as you grow you learn to make the best of it and that is what I did. There were many circumstances that could not be avoid, so I did the best that I could with the situation, but from each bad and good struggle that I encountered, I took it as a life lesson and made a promise to myself to try not to encounter that bad struggle again.
