When does bending the rules to please the norm going too far? This is stemming from Lisa Carlson, a single lesbian female from California who is suing E-Harmony for discrimination because they don't provide their service to gays, lesbians, bisexual, or transgendered. This doesn't make a bit of sense when there are enough dating websites out there to cater to people who choose to engage in the alternative lifestyle, but this was after the attorneys for both E-Harmony and Carlson were on TV giving statements on their clients' behalves claiming that it's discrimination to there's no real ground for discrimination. I would have to agree with the attorney for E-Harmony who also cited a similar suit was filed in California as well until the judge over the case dismissed it calling it 'frivolous'. It's getting to the point that people who choose to live and engage in the alternative lifestyle looking for relationships that they're looking for people to bend the rules for that, but there are websites out there that service different lifestyles. It goes beyond a gay/straight issue it's in other areas too because it seems as if people are using this as a reason to suit their need instead of the needs of others.

Did You Know?
In 1992 79 Stella Liebeck of Albequerque, New Mexico sued McDonalds for $2.9 million for spilling her coffee which lead to all fast food places to making sure the warning is visible to avoid future suits for spills.

There are also ways to weed out these frivolous cases ;) Check out the case of the guy who sued himself for his own actions that wound up putting him in jail in the first place. The courts have to weed out these cases and in the McDonalds case she had burns that needed skin grafting, it was proven that it was partially her fault and was not awarded a complete settlement.

I have been recently burned by SCALDING HOT coffee. The lady that sued mcdonalds was burnt instantly. I too laughed and giggled about the McDonalds case. I too said coffee is HOT duh! Coffee is hot you better believe it or else it would not be coffee. She did not suffer second degree burns she suffered 3rd degree burns. I suffered from 3rd degree burns the difference is I didn't want laughed at, but they need to monitor the heat of the coffee. Most consumers want to consume the coffee in the vehicle, which is why its in a bye bye cup I would like to point out, it is for the commute to work, not for work on the majority part! Warning labels issue HOT! They do not say burn you instantly!
