For anyone who wants to start their own school newspaper, I highly encourage you to run with your ideas because being starting a student group and a school newspaper in your high school is a lot of fun. As the editor-in-chief and co-founder of a student magazine on my college campus, I have had the time of my life doing what I love. You can check out my group's magazine at http://www.sa.binghamton.edu/~prospect

However, I issue a word of caution: stating a school newspaper will make you work harder than you have ever worked before. Starting a school newspaper takes, time, dedicated, effort and it requires leadership like you willing to put in as much time and effort that running a school newspaper requires. One of the most important things about a school newspaper for a high school is funding. Without funding the magazine cannot be printed. So you ask, how can we obtain funding to start our own school newspaper? Well, that is a great question and there are several ways of doing so.
