Interview with Ashlee Simpson: Music, Boys, and the Rivalry with Her Sister

Ashlee Simpson grabbed everyone's attention back in 2005 when she was caught lip-syncing on Saturday Night Live. Since then she's taken a backlash, stood her ground, and emerged a woman. Now with a new record on the way and a new man on her side, Ashlee is taking the world by storm following in the footsteps of her older sister Jessica. Somehow after all the press she's still seemed to stay down to earth as I found out in an interview with the "Pieces of Me" singer.

You'd never recognize this blonde babe compared to her rockerish boy look years ago on AOL Music singing "LaLa." Ashlee has never confirmed or denied having surgery on her look, but her profile has seemed to change as well. An overconfident Simpson says "I've always been confident in the way I look. I'm confident now and I was confident then." Although she's looking supertoned these days. "I walk or run everyday in the morning. You have to look good for the beach in the summer."

Besides running, what makes Ashlee so sexy and sleek these days? "I use lemon juice for natural highlights and after a long day on the beach, a leave in conditioner is good. It gets dry!" Ashlee says she also enjoys just flip flops and a simple dress she can wear over her bathing suit.

Sexiness is coming natural to her, no wonder guys love her. "I like relaxed guys though" says the girlfriend of Pete Wentz from Fall Out Boy. "I'm really laid-back. My last boyfriend was a bandmate and it just didn't work. I don't date well with Hollywood-ish guys." Dating has seemed to cause tension with sister Jessica. It's reported that Jessica is trying to tell Ashlee who she can date due to how sexy Ashlee is looking since Pete.

"It's natural your big sis looks out for you. Pete is a great guy. I don't dress to appeal to him. I'm growing up and I'm becoming a woman. I want to look sexy but still be tasteful." Whew! We thought there'd be a sister fued to fade out Paris and Lindsay from the tabloids.
