Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom is a 200-acre amusement and water park in South Whitehall Township, just outside of Allentown, Pennsylvania. It is one of the most popular amusement parks on the east coast and is famous for its many roller coasters and one of the largest water parks in the country. The park currently hosts more than 100 rides, games, restaurants, attractions.

Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom is two parks in one. Their motto is "two great Parks for the price of one." One price of under $40 covers admission to both parks. An even better deal is their season pass for under $100, which will get you admission for the whole season. *Note: There is a small fee charged for parking.

Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom is a great spot for a summer getaway for the whole family. It has something for everyone. It is just one of the many affordable summer activities in the Lehigh Valley.

Dorney Park Roller Coasters

Dorney Park has five primary roller coasters that are some of the most famous coasters in the world.

The Thunderhawk is a wooden coaster, which was built in 1923, making it one of the oldest roller coasters still operating in northeast America. The other four are steel coasters and include Laser, Steel Force, Talon: the Grip of Fear, and Hydra: the Revenge, Hydra is a floorless, half mile long roller coaster that opened in 2005 at the cost of $13 million. This brings Dorney Park to nine roller coasters.

Wildwater Kingdom

In 1985, Dorney Park opened Wildwater Kingdom, one of the largest water parks in the country. It boasts more than a dozen water rides and pools. This part of the park has eighteen water slides, three aquatic playlands for children, a water funhouse, two tubing rivers, and other water rides.

Wildwater Kingdom's wave pool was so popular that a second wave pool was added in 2006. And in 2007, a six-lane mat racing waterslide was added.

History

Dorney Park is over 140 years old and has a long, rich history. I will not go into it with too much detail, but I will list a few of the park's highlights.

Sounds great, and a season pass for $100? You can't beat that.

I love amusement parks and roller coasters. I go to Six Flags Great America in Gurnee, since it is only 20 minutes from here. Good article.

Great prices on admission and even the parking prices are good. This sounds like a fun place to go. Wish I lived closer, my kids would love it!
