In the 21st century, many people are using all kinds of technological advances. With the advancement of the internet and more households buying computers, the internet is one of the main way that people communicate today. According to an internet demographics survey done in December of 2006, the total percentage of adults that used the internet was 70%. 69% of women used the internet while 71% of men logged onto the internet. 83% of internet users were between the ages of 18-29 and 82% of users were between the ages of 30-49.

It's common that most of these people will have their own personal email address. Millions of emails are sent out daily, and most email users commonly email their friends and family throughout the day or week. It is easier to also communicate through email than the old fashioned way such as "snail mail" or as we know it, the United States Postal Service. With the rising rates of the average postage stamp, more and more people are turning to free email accounts. The cost to send out invitations are more expensive, and others will look for more cost effective and affordable ways to send correspondence and invitations for parties, weddings, and other kinds of family functions.

It's not out of the ordinary to see that most party invitations these days have an email address in which you can reply your R.S.V.P to. Party guests find it quicker and easier to reply to an email than to send out a postage card. This is why many internet users are turning to ecards and email to send out invitations for parties and weddings. While it's easier to send out ecards or email invitations, there are some tips that users should keep in mind before emailing their invites to the guests.
