When I was a kid going to vacation bible school, we would use empty baby food jars to make different crafts from. As far as craft projects are concerned, I have seen sand art, candles, and various other arts and craft projects made using baby food jars. These arts and craft projects are usually made during vacation bible school and kindergarten classes, girl and boy scout troops to earn their badges, and various other children's groups.

With many people having babies, there are often an overflow of empty baby food jars. Many parents of babies eating baby food from the jars find ways to use them while others don't.

Then after I had my daughter, my parents and in-laws, would ask for the empty baby food jars. At the time, I wasn't sure as to why, until one day stopping at my in-laws with more empty baby food jars, my father-in-law told me why he wanted them. He was using the baby food jars for storage of nails, nuts, bolts, and screws in their garages. Later, I found out my dad was doing the same thing, but my mom used a few of them for storage inside the house. Some people use them for storage of craft items like jewelry beads, needles and pins, buttons, and various other small objects.

Others use the baby food jars to store sugar, salt, pepper, flour or other kitchen food items in when they go camping. Baby food jars are great items to use for small portions of other food items leftover from meals that will be eaten in the next day or so as well.

There is always some use for those small jars after your baby has depleted the food in them. Bath salt gift jars can also be made using the baby food gift jars. By using the smaller jars on this gift project, you can give a wider variety of bath salts for gifts.

The baby food jars are also another good way to send extra goodies back to college with your students. Such goodies can include single serving puddings, trail mix, hair care products in a pinch, skin care products in a pinch, and various other needs for dorm rooms and college students.
