8 Reasons Why You Should Get a Short Hair Cut!

Many of us cling to the familiarity of our long hair, afraid to make a change. But, a short hair cut can be so chic and stylish, plus adopting a new style is a great way to break out of a hair rut. Why hide your face behind a mop of long hair when you can show it off with a sassy short
hair cut? Here are some great reasons to take the plunge and adopt a short hairstyle:

1. Nothing could be easier to take care of!!

Imagine being able to jump out of bed, shake your head a bit and your hair looks fantastic! With the right short hair cut you can do that. Think of all the time and hassle you'll save. Plus, on mornings when you do wash your hair, it'll dry quickly, meaning you'll spend less time dealing with your hairdryer. With short hair, you have the option of towel drying your hair, fluffing it with your fingers, and allowing it to air dry. Why waste the day trying to dry your hair?

2. You'll show off a pretty face!

If you have an interesting face, short hair will frame it beautifully so people will see YOU, not your hair. The right short hair cut can do alot to enhance your best features and play down the ones you're not so happy with. It all lies in getting the right hair cut.

3. It looks professional.

In my opinion, a person with short hair on a job interview is going to be seen as more professional and dedicated to a career. After all, you won't be perceived as the type of person who spends hours in front of a mirror styling your long hair before you come to work. Short hair may make it easier to be taken seriously on the job.

4. It has more impact!

Short hair can be bold, sexy , and ultra chic. There's something about a woman in a short hair cut that suggests confidence and flair. She doesn't hide behind a mop of long hair but shows her face to the world. That's sexy!

5. It can make you look younger!

Long hair tends to drag down an aging face, making it look tired and sallow. A short hair cut with some lift and body may be all you need to look like you've had a face lift!

6. It's great for the health club!

I have had straight hair to my elbows at its' longest and the Saks firebird (look it up, is similar to Victoria Beckham's Pob) only longer at the front and shorter at the back at its' shortest and I can say truthfully that when I have long hair I feel content because it is easy to become complacent- BUT I prefer shorter hair because it REALLY gets you noticed and feels A LOT better than having it long! It makes people notice your face more.

I agree with Katie. I have long hair, and it's definitely been a lot easier to care for in a jiffy than when I had short hair. When I had short hair, it curls in a lot of different directions and, since I'm not good at styling my hair, it simply didn't look as good from day to day. I also received many more compliments with the long hair than I did short. I have been able to successfully interview with either long or short hair - maybe because I would hope my potential employer would care that I can offer them more than a hairstyle?

It's funny that this article is actually written by a woman who has long hair! I actually have a cute short pixie haircut and while I agree that it's very sexy and unique, I'd like to set a few things straight: - when you just get out of bed short hair is sticking out in all the wrong directions! You can't just shake your head and go (although some girls do and you can usually spot them pretty quickly). You need to make your hair wet and style it. I find if you're in a hurry long hair is actually easier - just pull it up into a ponytail and you're off! - it doesn't make it any easier in a health club. Long hair you can just pull back to get it off your face. But what do you do with short hair that's just sticking to your face? I'm not trying to discourage anyone. Short hair is great and sexy (I get comments from both men and women). However, it needs care - just like long hair :-).
