Getting children to brush their teeth can be a big chore. I have dealt with every tooth brushing problem my children have thrown my way. From the toddler who will not open his mouth wide enough to brush because he only wants to chew the brush to the kid who wants to eat the tooth paste and be done with it, I have seen it all.

Most problems that parents have with getting children to brush their teeth can be solved fairly easily. The only lasting problem that I have encountered is getting my children to brush their teeth for long enough. Dr. Fresh's Firefly tooth brush has solved this problem for me and my boys.

Dentists say that the proper way to brush your teeth for a complete clean is to brush your top row and bottom row of teeth for one full minute each. That is difficult for me as an adult. I knew from the beginning how difficult it would be for my children. No matter what I tried, I could not get them to spend a full two minutes brushing their teeth. Part of the problem is that I cannot turn tooth brushing into a race.

I tried to set a timer to get them to brush their teeth for two minutes, but it was not exciting enough and while the timer kept them brushing, it was boring. With no other ideas, I told them I was sorry, but to make sure they were brushing their teeth properly, this was the way it had to be.

Then I saw an ad for Dr. Fresh's Firefly toothbrush. I knew I needed to give this new tooth brush a try. I found a two-pack of Dr. Fresh's Firefly toothbrush at Target for $1.78 and brought them home to my boys who loved them immediately.

Dr. Fresh's Firefly toothbrush has a red light that blinks for 60 seconds at a time. Controlled by a button at the end of the toothbrush, the link blinks long enough for the child to thoroughly brush one row of teeth. When the light stops blinking, you push the button again for 60 seconds of the blinking light and brush the other row of teeth.

Thanks to Dr. Fresh's Firefly toothbrush I never have a problem with getting my boys to brush their teeth thoroughly. Dr. Fresh sells many other products that are helpful for the hygiene of your children. Check out the website link connected to this article for more Dr. Fresh products.
