1. Playing Soothing Music or Talking Quietly: Traditionally, basically allowing babies listen to calm, cadenced sounds, or perhaps the resonance of their own parents' voices help newborn infants to relax. Infants are skilled to recognizing patterns in both speech and music, although babies might not yet be able to interpret the importance or connotation of these patterns. Still, giving newborns the chance to focus on these patterns typically will have a soothing result as the act of listening forces babies into a state of attentiveness, free from turmoil.
2. Gentle Slow Rocking: Much the same way that infants can distinguish patterns in sounds or talking, they are relaxed and calmed by the conventional pattern of being rocked. Additionally, rocking reminds infants of their experience in the womb, which will also provide comfort to them. Even though in the earlier periods, parents were obligated to rock their offspring in archaic rocking chairs, contemporary hi-tech improvements have resulted items such as mechanical rocking chairs, or even automatic baby hammocks which rock your infant to and fro soothingly, with minimal work by the parent.
