Most people are tempted just to try it once and see how it works. I know because I was one of those people almost 2 years ago.

What a I found was plenty of married men looking for a little extra on the side, men with bizarre fetishes, geeks, freaks and a few nice guys. I know what most people think, and that is only losers frequent those sites looking for a quick roll in the hay but that's only really a small percentage.

I know better because I was on a few dating sites before I met Ray. Ray or I are not considered weird by any one who knows us and he found my profile on an online dating service called plenty of fish. When I tell people that I met Ray on a dating site they are shocked, and they should not be. The internet is full of good honest people, but there's a darker side one that is full of people who are ashamed to tell the truth.

You and I surf the net and we are a good perple so doesn't only make sense that there are more good ones like you and I out here? Sure you can find the weirdoes out there but for the most part there are plenty of good people out there much like yourself who are just lonely and don't want to do the bar scene.

Online dating is a great way to go for many reasons, but the top one I can think of is you can get to know someone a little bit before you give them your number or make a date. Trust your instincts about people and keep it on the site until you feel comfortable enough to move it onto one of the instant messengers.

There are plenty of paid dating sites out here, but personally I like the free dating sites because money is always tight!

Be honest when creating your profile on an online dating service because honesty is always the best policy, just like your momma told you. If you are going on a dating site to meet someone then you owe it to yourself to be honest. For if things do progress to a level where you will meet offline you need to be honest.
