To prepare for my upcoming vacation, I stopped at the drugstore to pick up another bottle of my trusty Hawaiian Tropic Daily Glow Moisturizer. I have been a faithful user of Hawaiian Tropic Daily Glow Moisturizer for over a year, after I discovered that it was far superior to Jergens Natural Glow Daily Moisturizer. Click this link to read my comparison article of Hawaiian Tropic Daily Glow Moisturizer and Jergens Natural Glow Daily Moisturizer.

Unfortunately, there was no Hawaiian Tropic Daily Glow Moisturizer on the shelf. It appeared that Rite Aid in fact did not even carry Hawaiian Tropic Daily Glow Moisturizer at all, since there was no empty spot on the shelf. So I had a dilemma. I could not go to Mexico with my natural pale-as-death coloring, but I also did not want to stink up the airplane. I noticed that they had a sale on Rite Aid Sheer Glow Daily Moisturizer, which said "Compare to Jergens Natural Glow Daily Moisturizer". I did not like the Jergens Natural Glow Daily Moisturizer, because of the horrendous smell, so I was skeptical that a store version of something I disliked would be good. However, I am also cheap, I mean frugal, and I figured that Rite Aid would allow me to return the lotion if I hated it. I purchased the medium shade.

To my amazement, Rite Aid Sheer Glow has little or no smell at all. On the first day, I detected a faint oder when I smelled my bare leg at close range, but I am certain that no one else could smell it. Especially when I was fully dressed.

My next concern was if the coloring would be as good. I was concerned that with little odor there was also little of the active ingredients, and would not create any tanning. My amazement with this new product grew, as I began to see traces of a tan only 12 hours after I had applied it. With only three days of using the product, I am as dark as I ever was with Jergens Natural Glow, and darker than with Hawaiian Tropic Daily Glow Moisturizer. The only downside to this is that you need to be extra careful to apply the lotion evenly, because there is a greater risk of splotchiness when the product darkens so well.
