Calcium is an important mineral and one that women, especially when she reaches middle age should make sure is included in her daily diet. I am not one that enjoys milk and I also forget to take my daily vitamins quite often so I was looking for an alternative source of calcium when I discovered Viactiv Soft Calcium Chews at the store. The variety of flavors that this supplement was available in sold me on trying out the Milk Chocolate flavor.

Viactiv Soft Calcium Chews come in a purple box container with a removable lid. Inside the calcium chews are individually wrapped in a foil wrapper. They are available in 60 and 90 count containers.

Viactiv Soft Calcium Chews contain 500 mg. of calcium in each chew. It is recommended that women get 1,000 mg. of calcium daily so your daily dose of
Viactiv Soft Calcium Chews is 2 per day. They also contain Vitamins K and D which aid in the utilization and absorption of the calcium.

Calcium is important because it helps build and maintain bones. Women start losing bone density during menopause which can leave you subject to Osteoporosis.

My Thoughts On Viactiv

I really liked the milk chocolate flavor of Viactiv Soft Calcium Chews. It is a chewy and flavorful chew and one that I don't associate with taking a vitamin. I think this will help me be more enthusiastic in taking a calcium supplement which is needed for strong bones.

Although the price is a little high for 60 chews and higher than you would normally pay for a vitamin supplement in tablet form, I like the convenience and flavor of these chews. I wouldn't recommend them to everyone but they will fill a need for those that are forgetful like me or for anyone that has trouble swallowing pills. The calorie content will scare some off. Each chew contains 20 calories.

To me this is an innovative way for ladies to get a vitamin supplement. I know many elderly people have trouble swallowing pills. Viactiv Soft Calcium Chews is an excellent solution for elderly women.
