The Zookeeper advised a group of people to visit the Safari park where wild animals were seen in the open. The tourist bus went inside the park. Lions and leopards moved freely in the park. The tourists saw wild life at close quarters and enjoyed. Hardly thirty minutes had passed; a leopard leaped, broke the windshield and snatched away a three-year-old kid from the lap of its grandfather. The passengers were dazed. Before they realized what had happened, the leopard disappeared with the child. Soon combing operations took place. Efforts were launched to trace the leopard and the victim. An hour later the search party recovered a partially eaten hand of the child. It was a great tragedy. The child had expressed its desire to its grandfather to visit the safari park. The latter wanted to oblige. No one thought it would bring such a great calamity to the family. The leopard outwitted the driver in crashing into the bus right through the front.

A serious debate took place in a legislative body. The issue related to import of giraffes and their allocation to two zoos. When the discussion reached its climax, a member fast asleep, suddenly woke up, lifted his hand and shouted," of these one should be catholic". Only when his colleagues pointed out that the discussion centered on animals and not men, he realized his folly. The honorable member was obsessed with class-consciousness and hence the sudden outburst. Thanks to the animal and to the "member in slumber", others had a hearty laugh.
