Home Office Desk: Three Small Items that You Need to Have

If you work from home, the desk that you do most your business on is probably very important to you. After all, without your home office desk you would probably be lost; to say the least. But with that being said, you should not settle for just any home office desk set up. When it comes down to it, any desk that can fit your computer and a few items will work. The problem is a lot of people do not know what type of items they need to have on their desk. Of course, they are aware of the major things such as their computer and other big items, but after that they are lost.

Here are three small items that you need to have on your home office desk. If you look around and do not see these, you need to go out and buy them right away.

1. A mug or other collection bin where you can store miscellaneous rubber bands, paper clips and much more is very important. There is nothing worse than a home office desk that has messy drawers because it is full of smaller items. Do yourself a favor and use an old coffee mug to collect all of these items. Once you do this you will begin to notice just how more organized you have become.

2. A pad of sticky notes is very important. This way, anytime you get an urgent call or need to jot down a quick note, you have something to turn to. And the nice thing about sticky notes is that you can fix them to a bulletin board, the edge of your desk, or anywhere else for that matter. There is nothing worse than forgetting an important detail because you did not have anywhere to write it down.

3. A paperweight will not cost you a lot of money, but is important for any home office desk. One of these will allow you to keep all of the papers on your desk organized; for the most part, of course. Additionally, a paperweight will go a long way in ensuring that nothing gets out of line while you are away from your desk. If you leave something under a paperweight there is no reason that you should not be able to find it when you return to your desk.

The three items listed above are essential to any home office desk. If you do not have these, look into buying them as soon as possible. They will make your life much easier.
