Nyko has brought several accessories to the newest console system for better gameplay and ease of use for your gaming enjoyment. Nyko manufactures a wide range of console system and PC accessories and the newest console from Nintendo needs some of these great additions. The Nintendo Wii does have some shortcomings as I quickly found out when I received mine. The shortcomings I am talking about are not in the great games or fantastic gameplay that gets you up and moving but in the accessories area. Batteries are expensive as I can easily attest and using rechargeable batteries is the way to save both money and help the environment. I use so many gadgets with batteries that I would be spending a fortune on them if I did not use the rechargeable ones. I also help the environment by not having all those batteries going into the local landfill.
Enter the Nyko Wii Charge Station, with two slots for your Wii remotes and the two sets of rechargeable batteries and covers. The Wii Charge Station connects to a regular power outlet to charge the two remote batteries you install into the Wii remotes. The cover has a hole for the contacts in the back of the remote so when you set the remote into the charge base it instantly starts charging the remote battery.
The Nyko Charge Station will keep you in the game longer than conventional batteries as they are the Nickel Metal Hydride batteries for long lasting charges. The company says each charge will last for 25 hours of game play, I'm not really going to test that as I really am not into gaming that much. I know it is a convenient way to keep you gaming and a handy stand to always know where your remotes are. The charge does last longer than I can play in one sitting, several hours, and you just place the remote back into the stand when you're done.
