I don't know how the rest of the world feels about the situation, but I have to say that I am infuriated by the fact that Paris Hilton was let out of jail after serving on 3 days. The media keeps saying that her sentence was very harsh in the first place, but was it truly? I personally got arrested for driving while suspended in 1999, and I served exactly 45 days in jail for my crime, and that was 8 years ago!

The media claims that Paris Hilton's shrink came to see her at the jail and said Paris was on the verge of a nervous breakdown, so the sheriff decided to let her out on house arrest. This makes a mockery of the criminal justice system. I do not know of a single person who doesn't experience some sort of mental breakdown, anxiety, or other mental state after being incarcerated. Part of being in jail is having the time to sit there and think about what you have done, and learning from it.

Paris Hilton was released from jail because she is a celebrity, and she has millions. It is not fair to the rest of the citizens of the United States, that she is released after 3 days, when the rest of us have to sit there in jail and pay for our crimes. Many people, including myself, lost our homes and jobs while we were incarcerated due to not having a way to pay our bills while we were in jail. She didn't even have that to worry about. There is absolutely no reason why she should have been released 20 days early.

I am sure that Paris Hilton was about to have a mental breakdown, due to the fact that she did not have any servants, a plush bed, absolutely no luxuries, and she actually had to deal with her problem on her own. Even though she supposedly had no special treatment, the rest of the citizens of the United States would have been put in population, and not in a private cell of our own.

Did You Know?
Though I am not the only one that is outraged by Paris Hilton's early release, it hit me on a personal level, due to the fact that I have been in the exact same predicament as Paris, and I did not get my own cell or get an early release.

Makes sense in some alternative, totally unfair reality, I'm sure. I'm so sick of Paris and her "I'm so special attitude" that I turn off the TV anytime anything about her comes on.

Yep, when you become a celebrity you can do whatever the hell you feel like, whether it be DWI(Driving Without Intellegence), road rage, spilling the blood of the innocent, it doesnt matter as long as your rich, you'll get your own cell for bout three to five days then you go on your way like nothing happen, remember what happened with Martha Stewart. We would have been in jail and thrown away the key if we did something like that, but of course being a celebrity icon and all she got sent out on house arrest also. I think the judge that issued the sentence on paris should go ahead and finish for her. But thats asking entirely too Much.

The real problem with this has to do with the word precedent and its definition. If this isn't handled right what assurance is there that anyone with enough money has to obey the law?

The whole situation is ridiculous
