Red Bank is a very nice town, with a great variety of stores, plenty of places to eat and a river that is home to one of the top fireworks displays in the United States of America. On average, this event draws anywhere from 150,000 to over 200,000 people, which is just outstanding as Red Bank isn't the largest of town's in New Jersey, it's just so many people from other areas attend. The event opens early in the morning on July 3rd as people start filing in to get a great seat to this spectacular display and event.

Not only is there a beautiful fireworks display in the evening, but there are plenty of festivities during the day. If you are interested in great food and enjoyment for your entire family then you might want to attend this great event. Kaboom! Fireworks on the Navesink River started back in 1987, but during that period of time, money wasn't exactly the easiest things to get so municipal funding for the fireworks display was removed from the town budget. That obviously didn't go over too well with the town of Red Bank, so a committee of Red Bank stores and members of the town was formed to keep the Independence Day celebration going on yearly.

Seeing that the fireworks display is the number 1 display in the state of New Jersey, it must be explained that "Garden State Fireworks", an award winning fireworks company, which is run by the world famous Santore Bros., who are World Champions with what they do. Not only do the Santore Bros. put on the famous Kaboom! display, but they also put on another display in New Jersey, which is one of the top Italian Festival displays in the United States. This can be found in Berkeley Heights, New Jersey on July 16th. This is also a must see.

Jason-- I don't go every year, but I used to live in Toms River, got caught up because Red Bank is over the bridge and I normally figure that anyplace over the bridge is South Jersey. It is Central Jersey though. But people consider where I live Central as well, but it's North Jersey, so it can really go either way. Thanks for the clear up.

Jason, Deborah asked if this was in North (Jay and Silent Bob) or South Jersey. You answered South, which is not correct, but neither is North. The event takes place in Central Eastern NJ, which is where Jay and Silent Bob are. Google "Navesink River" in NJ and you'll see better where it is. Source: Have been to every single Red Bank fireworks display.

Hey...is this the Red Bank in South Jersey or the Red Bank in North Jersey (aka, home of Jay & Silent Bob)?

Sounds great! Most local fireworks around here are being canceled due to wildfire risks!

Thanks a lot Lisa. Yeah, Barnegat is very nice. Red Bank is just a superb, unbelievable displays of colors. It must be one of the top in the USA because if it isn't, I'd be very shocked. I should check up on that actually!
