I first fell in love with Godard's art back in 1999. We were in Hawaii and in our hotel was an art store. I went in to look around and saw these very unique paintings with olives jumping out of a martini glass and some were swimming in the drink too. I loved it and I knew it would look perfect hanging in the bar in my basement. I liked it so much I bought it, and had it shipped back home. When I got home I researched Godard more and realized he had a lot of different paintings.
Michael is known as the "Rock Star of the Art World." He is also currently the number one best selling artist in the United States. He said that he has known since he was child that painting is what he wanted to do in life. He grew up in Las Vegas so that is where he says he gets his twisted visions for his art. He attended the University of Nevada in Las Vegas and the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California. After college he worked as a freelance illustrator for clients like Coca Cola and Saks Fifth Avenue.
Godard was also the first artist commissioned in California to paint a life-sized cow. It was for the "Cows on Parade" exhibition which appeared on Oprah. He has also been featured in shows like Criss Angel Mindfreak, Inked, and American Casino.
Godard's paintings are truly one of a kind and unique with his balance of texture, color, realism, imagination, and humor. His paintings depict dancing strawberries, drunken grapes, gangster olives, martini glasses, and flaming dice. Some have scenes with cards stirring drinks, to olives gambling and playing pool, to worms drinking tequila. So no matter if you enjoy gambling, poker, or martinis, you will enjoy the creativity of his paintings. His "All the Vices" series includes cigars and gambling and the "Don't Drink and Draw" series features wine, liquor and Martini pop art.
