Craig's Emporium in Oklahoma City: A One-Stop Shop for Unusual Gifts
The Paseo Art District in Oklahoma City has a number of interesting shops and galleries. Perhaps one of the most interesting shops is Craig's Emporium, an eclectic shop located in the heart of the Paseo. It's a local favorite and has even been voted Oklahoma's Best Gift Shop.
Visiting Craig's Emporium is an experience in itself. It's filled with a strong smell of incense, always a little cool and dark with lots of bright colors throughout. Every time I visit, I feel like there should be a lady in the back reading fortunes. But I like to go to Craig's just for

United States of America something different to do and see-the colors alone would be a reason to go, but I also like seeing what new interesting thing Craig's is carrying.
Craig's Emporium carries a variety of eclectic items from decorating items to incense to teas to Buddhas. Basically, Craig's is your everyday bohemian store. It also carries such things as pillows, oils, clothing, and crosses. One of its main sellers is its handmade costume jewelry in many unique designs and colors, located at the front of the store. Some of my favorite pieces are the copper earrings and the crocheted earrings. If you're looking for big jewelry, Craig's has it. Craig's Emporium also carries handmade soaps and candles in a variety of fragrances.
One of the main drawbacks of the store is it's a little on the expensive side (at least for the bohemian budget). However, they do have sales often, and some of the jewelry does run cheaper (the prices for jewelry run anywhere from $4-$30). Last Christmas, they ran a special called the twelve days of Christmas where they put something different on sale everyday for the twelve days before Christmas.
The clerks at Craig's Emporium are generally friendly. They aren't going to try to push you into buying something-they let you browse unless you ask for help. They are also pretty knowledgeable about the store's products.
