Are You Taking Prescription Pain Killers?

A Few Things You Should Know

Prescription pain killers are great forms of remedies for your pain, but what you do not know is that they can be very dangerous. Were you playing basketball one day, when one moment you had crossed over your friend while going to the basket? Well, you jump up,
slam the ball into the hoop, when all of the sudden you come down on the wrong side on your ankle. Oops, you have now just rolled it, which is a very painful thing to do, believe me I know very well. Rolled ankles can either not be serious at all or a very serious condition, depending on how severe you injured it.

If the pain doesn't subside and\or the ankle swells up greatly, you will more than likely need to go to the ER (Emergency Room). Me more than probably anyone on Associated Content know what the ER is like. I have had a bad wrist for a while now and have been to the ER quite a few times, when the pain in unbearable. If my doctor isn't in, or he is on vacation, which happens to be a lot, I have to head to the ER for relief from the pain. Now I have been on certain prescriptions such as Vicodin© and Percocet, but you need to watch out as you are taking them.

Prescription pain killers are a lot stronger than your over-the-counter medications, this is why they are a prescription. As a matter of fact, if you head over to Mexico and a few other counties, you can purchase these powerful medications over-the-counter. I must say that this is rather funny because I myself know how strong these pills are. Narcotics, which is the proper word to describe these drugs, refers to opium, opium derivatives, and of course their semi-synthetic or fully synthetic substitutes, which include other drugs such as cocaine, etc.

Common Sense-- You obviously should learn how to read, I said the Acetaminophen helps take away the pain. This article was basically a guide to help people know the difference between taking these drugs recreationally or as prescribed. There are obviously other ingredients that help with the pain, such as maybe the narcotic known as opium? Don't go there with drugs, I am brought up in a family of paramedics and doctors so I know a bit about medicine, etc.

you are an idiot for implying that the only ingredient in these pain killers that takes away the pain is the acetaminophen. why would doctors with years of training and medical expertise have simply overlooked that they could have been prescribing acetaminophen. Perhaps they just throw in the potentially habit forming additive for kicks.
