Myrtle Beach Restaurant Review: River City Cafe

Myrtle Beach is filled with many restaurants for you to enjoy during your vacation, but most of them are either traditional sit down restaurants or fast food joints. Luckily, there is still a great local chain that you can visit if you want your food fast but still want it to taste great. That chain is River City Café, and they have five locations in the Myrtle Beach area! The location we visited was inside Sands Ocean Club Resort, but the other locations are at 73^rd Avenue North, 21^st Avenue North, Highway 17 Business, and on Surfside Drive.

All of the locations of River City Café are family friendly, and the restaurant is especially great for kids. Kids will love the fact that they can make a mess at River City Café; you can throw the shells of the complementary peanuts all over the floor! If you don't want to dine in, you can also get carry out at River City Café, and it's usually done in about 20 minutes.

Food at River City Café is served fairly quickly, but more importantly it's delicious and cheap! River City Café offers up delicious fresh battered onion rings and other traditional appetizers, many different salads, fresh fried seafood, and specialty sandwiches like The River City Philly. Although River City Café offers tons of choice for their diners, their burger is what really takes the cake.

River City Café's delicious burger comes in many different varieties including: Jalapeno Cheeseburger, California Burger, Ultimate Pizza Burger, BBQ Bacon Cheeseburger, and even a Peanut Butter Burger! On our trip to River City Café in Myrtle Beach I tried the Three Cheese Burger while my husband enjoyed the Mushroom Swiss Burger. Both burgers were huge, tasted fresh, and were incredibly delicious. Both my husband and I also enjoyed the fresh cut French fries, which I particularly liked because they were light on the salt. Our total bill at River City Café was $15, which is a steal for the amount of fresh delicious food we got!

You won't be left thirsty at River City Café, as they also have a drink menu which includes soft drinks, beers, and cocktails.
