You can also travel to the student's home country and enjoy a great vacation there. This way you won't even need a hotel to stay or a local guide to tell you about the details of the place. The student's family will be more than happy in playing the perfect host. You will get to see a new place and be in close connection with an entirely different culture. Well said! When I was growing up, it was common practice for other British children to exchange with a French or German family. I wish I had done it too, but my parents did not encourage me to take part in a foreign exchange. Sophie
