For many, this urge is so strong they feel powerless against it. The impulse to eat unhealthy, fattening foods literally overwhelms them. They cave into the desire, and go on a results-wrecking food binge.
This often becomes the normal cycle for many dieters. Does it apply to you? Picture starting out on a new weight loss plan, and swearing to stick with it. Two weeks pass and the results begin to show. Then suddenly you are overwhelmed with the urge to give yourself a treat for all of the hard work you have put in the last two weeks. This starts a series of desire filled thoughts, all telling you to bend the rules of your diet.
This is the point where most people simply give in to the powerful urge to eat something fattening. When most dieters reach this point, they have no one to talk to. No one to discuss these destructive desires with. So they are left alone to fend for themselves.
This is devastating to most people's weight loss goals. They never seem to get the results they want because they are always sabotaging themselves in so many different ways. You would be surprised at the multiple tricks and temptations in your own mind that you are not even aware of, which cause you to break your diet again and again.
Now imagine being confronted by that urge to eat the wrong kinds of foods or to skip your exercise plan or any other kind of self-sabotage you indulge in. The only difference is that you have support in the form of fellow dieters, all striving to lose weight, who you can talk to in your moments of need.
This can truly make the difference between weight loss success and failure. Whenever you feel the desire to sabotage your weight loss plan starting to activate, you go to those who are watching out for you. They will be able to set you straight and remind you of all of the reasons breaking your diet is not in your best interest.
